Silver and Gold Dangle Earrings

Each of these pair of earrings started as a sterling silver half circle which was then cut to accommodate a smaller complete circle. A narrow strip of sterling was inserted between the two pieces. The half circles had 23.4 K gold fused to them in process called keum-boo. The earrings then had a dark gray patina applied. Total drop length is just under 1.5 inches. The half circle measures about 1 inch across.
